Uses of Castor Oil for Face Care

Skin Care Living - Castor Oil for face 1

Castor oil is a very versatile oil that people often use to treat a number of skin problems. Use it in tandem with other skin care products to give your face the best care that it deserves. Here are some other common uses of castor oil for the face.

    1. It helps in the treatment of acne – Acne is a skin condition where too much dirt, oil or dead skin cells block the pores of the skin. Bacteria may also trigger the acne in many cases. The causes of acne vary from person to person. It is never usually only one cause but a combination of different factors. Some of these factors include genetics, dead skin cells, clogged pores, environment, diet and bacteria. Castor oil contains ingredients that can help fight some of the things that cause acne. It may also help clear clogged pores that could possibly be the cause of the breakout.
    2. It may help remove skin tags – skin tags are tiny excess skin that can be really, annoying to look at. Applying castor oil on these skin tags daily may help shrink them until they disappear completely.
    3. It may help fade scars – Scars are the skin’s way of replacing the skin that you lost. Most scars fade until they are hardly noticeable. Sadly, sun exposure can turn scars dark and make them look obvious. It can be hard to have a scar of the face, as it is the first thing that people notice. Help fade scars by applying a dab of castor oil on it every day.

Precautions in Using Castor Oil for Face

Skin Care Living - Castor Oil for face 2

When using castor oil for face care you should always take precaution, as the oil is very potent. For people who are allergic to castor oil, using it on the face can worsen your skin condition instead of healing it. To ensure that you are not allergic to castor oil, test it on a small, inconspicuous location such as your wrist and let the oil sit for a few minutes. If no allergic reaction occurs, it is safe to use the product on your face. If using the oil resulted in rashes on your arms, do not attempt to use it on your face.

Being a writer is almost like a breather for me. We can get a little freaky and let our inner weirdoes get crazy over the good stuff. A long day in front of the computer makes you want to unleash all your creativity after all. And what better stage to use than a blank piece of paper, or in this case, a blank Word document? But don't worry, I take good care of my skin, so you can at least rely on me when it comes to tips and tricks for skin care.
